Die thematisch verzahnten und sich gegenseitig kommentierenden und kontrapunktierenden Veranstaltungen klingender Kunst mit zahlreichen Uraufführungen und Premieren kreisen um die Themen Interaktivität, Performance, Neues Musiktheater, musikalische Aktion und Intervention im öffentlichen Raum. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei immer das tätige, das handelnde Individuum in seiner persönlichen Eigenart und Subjektivität.

Dabei wird künstlerischen Fragen nachgegangen: Wie kann ich in oder mit einem Kunstwerk interagieren und was bewirkt mein Handeln ästhetisch?  Was muß ich selbst können, um adäquat zu interagieren? Wie erwerbe ich diese Fähigkeiten? Und wie verändert/entwickelt sich die Wahrnehmung selbst während einer Aktivität, durch diese Aktivität? Wie verändert sich meine Rezeption, wenn ich fokussiert und vorbereitet höre/erlebe oder aber ganz unbewußt, z.B. indem unverhofft etwas Musikalisches um mich herum geschieht? Welchen Einfluß hat das Wahrnehmen in Aktion auf meine Erwartung und auf meine Erinnerung? Welche Unterschiede ergeben sich zwischen passiver und aktiver Wahrnehmung? Ist eine der beiden leichter oder schwieriger, welche Arten der Rezeption gehen tiefer und welche ermöglichen evtl. größeres Verständnis?

2016 sind alle Aktivitäten beim Internationalen Klangkunstfest zeitlich und konzeptionell besonders eng verbunden, einschließlich der Konzerte und der Ausstellung. Exponate sind gleichzeitig Kulisse oder Instrument, teilweise auch Thema für musikalische Aktion. Performances erschaffen oder hinterlassen Exponate, die später wiederum wieder selbst Aktionen evozieren – oder (zer)stören. Der jeweils bespielte Raum ist Bühne, Galerie und Instrument zugleich und verändert sich ständig durch die verschiedenen Geschehnisse.

Jeder Veranstaltungstag beginnt mit einem Soundwalk. Zum Ende jedes Konzertes werden alle jeweils Mitwirkenden gemeinsam improvisieren. KünstlerInnen im Publikum sind eingeladen, sich zu beteiligen. Dies steht dann immer unter dem Thema des jeweiligen Konzertes. So endet jedes Konzert mit einer gemeinsamen Klang-Aktion.

In der Vorbereitung des Festivals  bilden die beteiligen KünstlerInnen des Festivals verschiedene „Ad-hoc-Formationen“ und verabreden sich zu einzelnen Flashmobs und Aktionen im Öffentlichen Raum.

In der begleitenden Ausstellung wird eine neue Klangkunstarbeit von Nicolas Wiese und eine neue Video-Installation von Roberto Duarte gezeigt, dazu eine interaktive Arbeit von Thomas Gerwin mit Klang- und Videokomponenten. Außerdem Aktionsbilder des 2015 verstorbenen Hartmut Sörgel, die 2005 als zeichnerische Reaktion zu und während Konzerten und Tanzperformances des Internationalen Klangkunstfestes entstanden. Diese dienen 2016 beim Konzert von „Welt am Draht“ wiederum selbst als graphische Partituren. Subjektive Foto-, Video- und Tonimpressionen der Aktionen und der Konzerte von Nicolas Wiese werden immer möglichst zeitnah verdichtet und im Internet-Blog Bestandteil der Begleit-Ausstellung.

„The Acting Subject“

Oktober 6-8, 2016

This year‘s festival explores sounding art in the field of new music, performance, new music theatre, improvisation, installation as well as musical action and intervention in public spaces presenting numerous world premieres. The focus here is always set on the subjective experience, the personal approach – of the artists and of the public.

To enable a broad and intense spectrum of artistic expression and experience, all art works or actions are conceptionally linked quite closely. In which way? Everything takes places at one place, the public library „Bibliothek am Luisenbad“ and goes out into the city and the internet from here. The dance performance of BIT takes place inside Duarte‘s new video installation, both works interfere (only during that time) deeply and spontaneously. The exhibition shows action paintings of Hartmut Soergel (who passed away 2015, unfortunately). He created these paintings by reacting to a live performance of „Welt am Draht“. Now these pictures will function as a score for the trio in a concert. Thomas Gerwin’s installation „Tactile Music“ offers a silent and very personal experience through groping for the music with one‘s finger tips. Nicolas Wiese will be present personally in his installation „VERSION 2: PSEUDO_CODE“ performativly enlarged video sound installation

and (inter)acts with his work and the visitors. The new piece „Klangspiel I“ for „Kammerensemble ad hoc“ is not allowed to be rehearsed. The musicians get their notes right before the performance, the beginning of the piece is an electroacoustic intro played back while the musicians read their scores. Each evening starts with a soundwalk. Each concert ends with an improvisation of all artists of the evening together including people from the public if they like to participate. Before and in between the festival there will be some artistic inventions or flash mobs at public spaces. This will be announced before at the internet or even take place spontaneously.
